I would like to congratulate the Lady Hawks from Hiland on their recent Division IV State Basketball Championship. The 2008 Lady Hawks continue a time tested tradition of basketball excellence in East Holmes, and I am proud at the chance to represent a district that contains such a successful school district, both academically and athletically. If elected I plan to work hard to assure that programs like the Lady Hawk's Basketball program and programs in every school district in the 97th district will continue to be funded.

Watching Over The Budget

Recently our campaign released a statement concerning the Holmes County Budget that was passed by the Commissioners in early 2008; this statement was, and still is meant to show the citizens of Holmes County and of the 97th District that I am committed to not only agriculture, but to professionally and wholeheartedly representing the constituents of this district. It has always been my goal to offer a new choice, and a chance for change for those of us in the 97th District who are ready for responsible and educated representation. From the beginning my decision to run has come directly from my close ties to the 97th District and desire to help make this area a better place for all of us to live. It would be an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to represent the citizens of the 97th and I look forward to continued debate and discussion of the issues.

Welcome to the official blog of Luke Brewer's State Representative Campaign. I hope that you're as excited to be a part of this as I am. I've known Luke now for some years and I can't think of a person who would bring more energy, passion and ability to this seat. We're counting down until Tuesday and I can't wait to be a part of something special.
